How the Just4one site is financed

Just4one is a unique and completely independent, completely objective website set up to represent and champion the interests of single people and anyone else looking for information for ‘one’. For example this might be independent travellers, (sometimes called solo travellers) or just about anyone else looking for new ideas for things to do in their spare time.

We have a strong ethical code:

• We started the site because we think it is completely unfair that despite being a huge, growing section of the population, some holiday and travel companies along with other service providers seem to think its OK to charge us unfair prices.
• We do not charge subscription fees. The site is free to use. Anyone can use it.
• We DO NOT and WILL NEVER sell or share e mail addresses or any other information we have.

The content on our site is, in our view, aimed at providing good quality information on all sorts; from holidays and travel to ideas on social and leisure activities in your spare time, managing your money and food and drink right through to practical information on buying or renting a house for single consumers, to help them (or you) make your own decisions, absolutely independent of any commercial objectives.

If we don’t think the information is of interest and relevant we don’t include it and we don’t and won’t give any financial advice. Neither  will we, if asked,  focus solely on deals we’ve arranged and that pay us money, as some other sites may do.

How the site is financed. So how will Just4one generate revenue?

All the hard work we’ve done so far has been funded by us. But now that we’ve reached a good stage, some of the income needed to keep the site going may come from some ‘affiliate links’.

To be absolutely clear, any information we include on the site is only there because it fits with what we do and is good, honest information we think is really useful for single people.

Our site content is written purely from a ‘what’s the info or deals for you?’ viewpoint. After a section is finished, we will see if we can find ‘affiliate links’ to some of the products or services included.

These look and work in the same way as normal links, but if someone clicks through, the link is tracked and may generate a payment to the site. The details vary – sometimes the payments per click, per user, per application, per accepted application or any combination. If someone clicks through, the link is tracked and it may generate a payment to the site, which will help us to keep this huge dedicated resource for single people, to keep going.

We will only use affiliate links that give an identical (or better) deal than going direct. However, as these are technologically-generated, issues can happen, so let us know if you spot any.

We don’t track individuals’ data, nor will we ever sell it to third parties, or pass it on.

Doesn’t this compromise Just4one?

We don’t believe so. We write our articles and then, totally separately, see if there are any paid links. If no paying link is available, nothing in the page changes. If the best is the best and doesn’t pay, it stays the best. The link used is simply ‘non-affiliated’, i.e. non-paying. Financial considerations HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO impact at all on what information or content we include on the just4one site.

We won’t change our guiding principles or our views because of any commercial considerations we may be offered.

Like some other leading champion consumer websites, we will mark any information that has an affiliate link with a * so you see which services have affiliate links straight away and you can make your own decision.

We hope and believe this site’s recommendations are the best. Plus this site isn’t just about ‘finding the best product’; instead it’s ‘finding the best product that works for you, not the company’.

Everything we write is unbiased, objective and free from outside influence.
