An independent family business, Balearic Outdoor Holidays believe in good old-fashioned service and attention to detail. They believe that their walking, painting and outdoor holidays should be enjoyed, not endured, so it’s really important to them that you finish your day’s activities feeling challenged, but at the same time, smiling and having had a great time.
All their special interest holidays are based on Menorca and Mallorca, two of the Balearic Islands east of the Spanish mainland, both of which have some of Europe’s finest all year-round weather so you can enjoy the outdoors. (The peak summer months of July and August are the only time where it’s too hot to enjoy outdoor activities).
Planning all of their outdoor activities with meticulous detail, the owners John and Carolyn, work to choose the best available accommodation and best local restaurants to ensure great holidays for their guests, using experienced guides to ensure that standards don’t slip. They never leave people on their own to do their work for them. (Around 70% of their holiday guests are ‘returnees’ or recommendations as a result).
Solo travellers are welcome on all their holidays, singles; walking holidays with NO single supplements as well as their couples walking holidays, – where they aim to find accommodation without single supplements whenever possible.
It’s really important to us that you finish your day’s activities feeling challenged, but at the same time, smiling and having had a great time.
Walking, Painting & Activity Holidays in Menorca & Mallorca 2026/27 – more about their holidays
Holidays with NO single supplements include an early spring Singles Walking Holiday with comfortable walking based in Port Soller Mallorca and a Singles Walking Holiday based in Cala Santandria in Menorca. Balearic Holidays also offer an 11 night Walk the Cami de Cavallas Menorca based at Cala Gaioana also with no supplements.
With group sizes of 10-24 people, and ages ranging between 50-75, singles group holidays are normally made up of guests from all over the world with a diverse range of backgrounds, including solo travellers with partners at home who simply don’t like walking. Other holidays include a mix of couples and single traveller guests

Their 2026 walking holiday seasons start in April, and start from around £1,556, Guests stay in 4 star accommodation with good food and drink a big part of what they offer. Holidays include breakfasts and lunch (with unlimited wine). Everything you eat will be freshly cooked, whether dining at the hotel or eating in good local, hand-picked restaurants with authentic cuisine. All holidays also include a first night welcome supper, along with a welcome drink and wine.

Holidays don’t include the costs of your flights but Balearic Holidays do provide help and information on suitable airlines, flight schedules and best deals. They also include a free meet and greet at the airport with transfers both ways and many other extras including a UK freephone number to their office in Menorca for any queries.
FEATURED HOLIDAY: Walk the Cami de Cavalls on Menorca – A life changing experience
Considered more challenging but well worth the effort, during this holiday you’ll walk the whole of The Cami de Cavalls (Path of Horses). A 120-mile path, encapsulating the whole of Menorca it was originally used as a means of connecting various watchtowers around the island to protect against pirates or general invasion.
Walking an average of 12 miles a day over a 10-day period with a stunning combination of spectacular walks, wonderful accommodation plus great food and wine you’ll be based at a 4-star hotel in Menorca’s most up market resort of Cala Galdana.
Open to couples and singles alike there is no single supplement payable over and above the quoted holiday price.
