About RedPoint Holidays – The Company

Originally set up  in 1995 by a languages graduate from Wolverhampton who came to Austria to work as a ski rep in the ski resort of Fugen in Zillertal, Redpoint Holidays are ‘dedicated to ensuring you get the most out of your holiday experience’. They look after their customers and use their local knowledge and skiing expertise to make sure all their customers, single or not, have the best possible care and the most fun!
They’ve since grown their summer programme offering river rafting, kayaking, paragliding, walking and mountain biking as well and have many loyal guests who come back each year.

Solo Skiing Holidays & Summer Activity Holidays in Austria with no single supplement.

Redpoint Solo Ski Holidays and Solo Summer Activity Holidays

Led by an established holiday company who know the area inside out, Redpoints Solos Weeks are designed for independent travellers who want to go skiing or walking in the summer months.

Whether it is because your usual ski buddy can’t make it, you don’t know anyone else who skis, or you are single and want to make new friends, Redpoint Holidays Solo Ski Weeks are designed for people who want to go on a ski holiday on their own. Going on a solo’s week means that you have some skiing company during the day and a chance to socialise in the evenings.

Normally run in January or March (so that skiers can avoid the school holidays), Solo Ski weeks include 5 days of ‘Guided Skiing’ (from Sunday to Thursday), where depending on the conditions, your guide will show you around some of the ski areas in the Austrian Mountains. Fridays are left free, leaving you to choose between skiing with your new ski buddies or taking a day off for sight-seeing.

With one guide for every group of 8-10 people everyone is encouraged to stop for a drink or lunch on the slopes, novice or intermediate skiers can swap guided days out for beginner or intermediate lessons when they make their booking.

On Solo Ski Weeks, independent travellers are automatically allocated a small single room with en-suite which doesn’t incur a single occupancy supplement, other holidays weeks have some ‘single supplement free’ rooms available.

Accommodation is at the Hotel Bruno in single rooms and solos are seated together at mealtimes with social drinks for all those up for it in the bar and chance to join in some optional evening activities.

Walking holidays and the Solo Walking Week include 4 days of guided walks in the Austrian mountains plus the chance to join other optional activities, like river rafting, or excursions on other days. Solo guests are introduced to each other and enjoy the social evenings offered in the resort.
