Running guided walking holidays for more than 20 years, they design holidays for people who love the countryside and like to meet new friends in a social atmosphere. With more than 30 short breaks and singles walking holidays spread across more than 15 different areas of outstanding natural beauty in England and Wales, Secret Hills offer ‘Get Active’ walking breaks through to more gentle ‘Strolling and Discovery’ breaks, some with specific themes right throughout the year. Their holidays include short 2/3 night walking weekends from March to October), weekday/longer breaks, Easter walking holidays, Christmas and New Year walking holidays and more.
Their new online holiday search makes it much easier to find the kind of walking holiday you want, with holidays now also organised by 4 walking grades; easy, hard, moderate and moderate with strenuous sections.
Holidays attract a really good mix of ages from 35 upwards and include accommodation, breakfast, evening meals and a light lunch with choices for vegetarian diets plus expert guided walking leaders and any transport required. Guests get to stay in good, three-star hotels, chosen for their location and walker friendly approach.

Talking is as important as walking or discovering on their holidays. They don’t go in for discos but may use an entertainment that is taking place in the area you are in, to boost the weekend’s activities – “it’s good, old-fashioned chat that makes our short breaks successful”.
Secret Hills Walking Holidays in 2026 start from a 2night/3day moderate walking holiday in the South Downs & Seven Sisters from £580 in May June and October. Other long weekend breaks range from £590 through to £680 ‘all in’.
Typical 4 nights/5 day walking breaks include a West Yorkshire’s stunning moors and the tranquil Calder Valley from £760 and the Gowers Glorious Coast and Moors walk – starting from £800 with with lots more walking breaks available right throughout the year.
Their no single supplement policy now also covers sole use of a hotel room with en-suite facilities in some of their European walking holidays available in Spain, the Canary Islands, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. European holidays start from £1,320 excluding flights for a 7 night walking holiday ‘Strolling and Exploring the Magnificent Island of Madeira’ and a 8 day walking tour Strolling and Exploring Slovenia’s lakes, gorges and meadows from £1750 excluding flights.
