Ramblers Walking Holidays 2025/26: the travel company & what they do
Recently reformed with a new name, Ramble Worldwide are an independent travel provider and ‘not for profit travel’ partner for The Ramblers, charitable walking group. Operating since 1946 and one of the pioneers of overseas adventure travel they do what they say on the tin, providing more than 200 good value walking holidays in spectacular locations right across the globe. Some of their walking holidays are linked to all sorts of special interest activities some walking holidays available with NO single supplements.
They travel with small, guided groups (of around 12-14 people), each with expert leaders looking to immerse travellers in the places and communities they visit rather than just take you to a destination. This enables you to get a real feel for the history and culture that’s shaped the country you’re travelling in.
They’re also committed to responsible tourism and use their profits to support different charities (including The Ramblers).
On many holidays, we’ll make sure you see the sights you’ve just got to see, but we’ll also show you the less well known but no less remarkable ones. You’ll also experience something different, something you hadn’t read about or seen on Instagram. We can take you as little or as far out of your comfort zone as you like. You’ll do what you’ll enjoy and what you don’t yet know you’ll enjoy.

‘Pioneering, passionate, professional’ – about their Walking Holidays with NO single supplements
Ramblers Holidays say they’re very much aware of the frustration that supplements for solo travellers cause so they’re actively trying to increase the number of holidays with ‘No SRS’ that they’re able to offer, ‘looking to negotiate single supplements whenever they can.’
Currently with around 46 different departure dates from their Discover, Adagio, Self guided & Classic holiday collections, the number of walking holidays available are a big increase on previous years. Ultimately though, their allocation of single and sole occupancy rooms are limited and often the first to sell out, so they strongly advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
Walking holidays with no single supplement start from around £549 for a 4 night short break in Harrogate and York often described as God’s own country. Staying in ensuite 3star accommodation on a half board basis with ‘fine waking and two guided tours’, dates start in April and run throughout the year.
They’ve also got other ‘No SRS’ walking holidays in Majorca, Guernsey, Germany, Offa’s Dyke Wales, Ravenscar Yorkshire and Purbeck and Dorset on the south coast of England all categorised with a helpful graded walking guide ranging from leisurely, through to moderate. Holidays are open to ALL ages across ALL levels of fitness.

Ramblers solo walking holidays include expert local guidance from qualified walk leaders who know the terrain intimately, comfortable accommodation with half-board meal arrangements, all transport to and from walking locations, detailed route information and safety briefing plus 24-hour support throughout your stay
