Where to look. Info and options on hotel rooms and accommodation for independent and single travellers
Somewhere to stay business or pleasure. Fair play – or out of order? What do you think?
Sadly, despite millions of potential solo travellers; business travellers seeking accommodation for one and single travellers taking a break or a holiday, it seems that only a few UK hotel and other overnight accommodation operators e.g. bed and breakfast offer hotel rooms and accommodation with no single supplement. This is what we’ve found so far:

250 Hotels located across England and Scotland. Premier Inn say that 20% of their rooms are given over to single occupancy with typical rates from £45. (They’re also a winner of the Times award for Best Hotelier)
Despite their importance as our national tourism agency, Visit Britain don’t list hotels and accommodation offering single rooms without single supplements. They don’t appear to have any plans to do so. We’d be interested to hear their views.
